This application is for the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour and Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp. The most qualified applicant will be selected to attend 2025's Youth Tour which will take place June 16-22 in Washington D.C. The next best applicant will be selected to attend Youth Camp, which will take place July 12-17 in Clark, CO, near Steamboat Springs. Finalists may be required to participate in personal interviews for selection. Must submit application by Friday, January 17, 2025.

Student must be at least 16 years of age by June 16 in order to attend Youth Tour.

Select one of the essay topics listed below. Write an essay on that topic that is 300-500 words. Essay should be double-spaced following the guidelines of MLA format. Please submit your essay as a PDF below.

Topic 1: Electric cooperatives were founded on seven cooperative principles. Choose two cooperative principles that speak to you and explain why.

Topic 2: What makes you a good candidate to represent MCREA at one of our youth leadership opportunities? What do you expect to gain from one of these leadership experiences?

Topic 3: What does being an American mean to you and why? What contributions can you make in your community to help America be the greatest it can be?
