Morgan County REA Scholarships: Application Deadline is Friday, February 13, 2026

Through partnerships with Tri-State Generation and Transmission and Basin Electric Power Cooperative, Morgan County REA is proudly offering a total of ten college or vocational scholarships for students who reside within MCREA’s service territory, whose parents/guardians are MCREA members. For the 2026-2027 academic year, MCREA will award five $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors and one $1,000 scholarship to a current post-secondary student who will be returning to college or trade school. Tri-State will award two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors, and Basin Electric Power Cooperative will award two $1,250 scholarships to a graduating senior.

All completed application materials must be submitted by Friday, February 13. Only one set of application materials is necessary to apply for scholarships from all three cooperatives. Students applying for the $1,000 scholarship awarded to a current college or trade school student need not be previous MCREA scholarship winners to qualify. Please complete and submit the application below to apply.

Please submit a personal history that includes the following:

  • extracirriculars

  • community service

  • awards & achievements

  • work experience (if any)

Submission should be 12-point font, double-spaced and is not to exceed 2 pages.

*Students who have graduated high school and are currently attending an accredited college or trade school should include activities after high school only.
