Think about your monthly grocery bill: what if it only showed a monthly total, rather than breaking down what you bought during each visit? Wouldn't you want to know where you spent money every time you visited the store to help budget better?
Or, consider fueling your car or truck: don't you already top-off your gas or diesel before leaving for a trip or fill-up when your gas gauge starts to get low at different times throughout the month, instead of hitting 'empty' and having to wait on roadside assistance to you get moving again?
MCREA is excited to share a payment system which provides our members another way to manage their electric bill. Technology often allows us to take control in areas we couldn't previously, and opens up new options. You now have the ability to pay for electricity how and when you choose, the same way you buy groceries or fuel.
Purchasing electricity before you use it gives you more flexibility, allowing you to take control of your budget and pay whatever amount you want, whenever you want. Prepay billing also allows you to learn more about and manage your energy consumption, making it possible to easily check your remaining balance and top-up if necessary. Signing up for Prepay means you won't need to provide the $250 security deposit usually necessary to begin service with MCREA, and you will never have to pay a late fee. Ever.
